Students from all over our Central Coast have submitted many exceptional original papers for the CASI 2025 Student Writing Contest. We assembled a group of 21 judges in a spectrum of disciplines, and the judging is complete. On July 25th we shall hold an awards ceremony at the Carmel Barnyard to announce the three top scholarship winners and a number of honorable mentions.

• Tribute to Billie Holiday

• Circular economy theory

This event is free to all CASI members, all participating students and their families and teachers. The general public is invited to attend on a pay what you wish basis. We shall also discuss the new CASI Student Writing Contest for 2026, with presenters Katie Bruzzone, Francois Melese and Michael Hogan; The contest is open to all students and recent graduates. As last year, we shall have a detailed mentoring process to give writing training and one on one mentoring with each contestant.

Complimentary non alcoholic beverages and appetizers will be served at the ceremony.
