Rene Romero Schuler will speak on her inspired artistic creation process in Chapman Hall adjacent to an exhibit of her art at Sunset Center. An interactive question and answer period will ensue, followed by a wine reception to meet the artist.
Schuler’s artistic oeuvre stands as a powerful testament to the indomitable spirit of women throughout history. Through her evocative and emotionally charged creations, Schuler not only captures the resilience and strength inherent in the female experience but also serves as a visual chronicler of the often untold stories of women. Her work transcends mere representation, delving into the very essence of women’s history, revealing layers of complexity, triumphs, and struggles.
In each stroke and canvas, Schuler amplifies the voices of women, contributing to a broader dialogue that seeks to redefine and celebrate the profound impact of women on the tapestry of human history. Her art becomes a mirror reflecting the diverse narratives of women, inviting viewers to confront, appreciate, and ultimately champion the richness of their stories. Through the lens of René Romero Schuler’s art, the history of women emerges not as a footnote but as an epic tale, deserving of acknowledgment, recognition, and remembrance.
Schuler has works in notable museum and public collections, and is represented by galleries across the United States, Canada, and Europe- as well as right here in Carmel-by-the-Sea, at Westbrook Modern. There have been four monographs published of Schuler’s works, and Schuler has been featured in numerous global publications, and was named as one of Forbes Magazine’s Next 1000 in 2023.
